Kieran Curran is a writer and musician living in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Originally from Galway in the Republic of Ireland, he holds a PhD in Music from the University of Edinburgh, where he also taught in a variety of departmental contexts (Music, English Literature, Visual Culture). He has published a monograph in modern British cultural history, a book chapter on DIY cassette cultures in modern day Scotland , and writes on a regular basis for the Glasgow alternative culture magazine Communal Leisure .
